Brazilian Waxing

When it comes to removing hair down there, you deserve an expert—not a side hustle.

50 million Brazilian waxes and counting. Are you next?

Our Brazilian and Bikini Waxing Services

At European Wax Center, we offer three types of bikini waxing services—including a full Brazilian. Here’s your guide to understanding the key differences.

  • Bikini Line

    Bikini Line

A quick cleanup. The bikini line wax is perfect for tidying up the edges and top of your bikini area.

  • Bikini Full

    Bikini Full

A full bikini wax takes it a step further by removing as much (or as little) as you want from the front of your bikini area. Like a Brazilian wax, but without the butt strip.

  • Brazilian

    Brazilian

A full Brazilian wax includes removing as much as you want from the front of your bikini area. Leave a strip, a triangle—or nothing at all. A butt strip completes the service for that fresh, just-waxed feeling.

Benefits of Brazilian Waxing

Smoother Skin

Your skin after a wax? Next-level smooth. Waxing provides physical exfoliation while removing hair, so all you’re left with is a flawless finish.

Longer-lasting Results

Where shaving cuts hair at the surface, waxing removes it from the root. This means it takes much longer to grow back, leaving you smooth for weeks instead of days.

Thinner & Finer Hair

Over time, waxing can help train your hair to grow back thinner and sparser. This also means that the more often you wax, the easier it gets. Win-win.

Minimal Irritation

Many people find that hair removal methods like epilation, hair removal cream, and even shaving irritate their skin. When done by a licensed professional, waxing can be much gentler than these methods.

  • 1. Check-in.

After checking in, your Wax Specialist will show you to your personalized suite.

If it's your first wax, your Wax Specialist will go over questions, concerns, and preferences—like how much hair to leave.

  • 3. Disrobing.

You’ll be asked to disrobe from the waist down. We know it can feel awkward, but this is a judgement-free zone with professionals who have seen it all.

  • 4. Prep.

Your waxer will do a quick cleanse of the area with a cotton round, then apply a pre-wax oil to help protect your skin.

Getting Your First Brazilian Wax

Preparing for a Brazilian Wax

To get the best results from your Brazilian wax, start preparing before you step into the waxing suite.

  • Make sure your hair is ¼" long, about the length of a grain of rice.
  • Exfoliate 2-3 days beforehand to help remove dry skin.
  • Arrive with clean skin: no lotions, oils, or other products that could interfere with the wax.
  • Wear loose, cotton clothing to avoid friction on freshly-waxed skin.

How we make your first wax more comfortable.

First time? A few nerves are normal. The good news: Brazilian waxing is our specialty, and comfort is built into our process. From our signature Comfort Wax® to techniques designed for fewer passes and less discomfort.

What to expect from your first Brazilian wax results.

Expect smooth skin right away, with results that get even better as you keep waxing. Hair grows in different stages, so a few hairs that weren’t ready to be waxed the first time may be left behind. This is completely normal! After a few waxes, your hair will start to sync to the same cycle, helping you stay smoother for longer with each Brazilian.

Brazilian Wax Aftercare

Newly waxed skin requires a little extra TLC. Keep it calm with these aftercare tips for your Brazilian wax.

  • Do

    • Use a cold compress on sensitive skin
    • Keep your newly-waxed skin moisturized
    • Wait 48 hours to start exfoliating
  • Don’t

    • Heavily exercise or swim for 24 hours
    • Wear tight-fitting clothes over just-waxed skin
    • Expose skin to direct sun, excessive heat

Aftercare Essentials

Products designed by waxing experts to keep you smoother for longer. Nourish your skin and help visibly reduce the appearance of ingrown hairs and hair thickness between waxes.

Brazilian Waxing Essentials:

Brazilian Waxing Safety & Common Concerns

  • Can I get a Brazilian wax if I’m on my period?

Yes, you can get a Brazilian wax if you’re on your period. We just ask that you wear a tampon. With that said, your hormones around this time can make your skin more sensitive, so Brazilian waxing may be more uncomfortable during your cycle.

  • Is Brazilian waxing okay for sensitive skin?

Yes, Brazilian waxing is a good option for sensitive skin. Our Comfort Wax® helps protect and soothe skin, while our experts are trained to deal with many different skin types. Your waxer will also check in throughout your service to make sure the wax temperature is comfortable. If you have any questions or concerns about sensitive skin before your Brazilian wax, don’t hesitate to bring them up to your waxer.

  • Can I get a Brazilian wax if I’m pregnant?

Yes, our Wax Specialists are trained to accommodate pregnant guests for Brazilian waxing. Your waxer will position you accordingly to ensure your comfort during the service. Every pregnancy is different, so if you have any questions or concerns, be sure to discuss them with your doctor beforehand.

  • Are there any medications I should let my waxer know about?

Be sure to mention any medications to your waxer before your Brazilian hair removal. Most will be fine, but some acne medications or certain antibiotics may make your skin more sensitive.

Our Brazilian (P) wax includes as much or as little as you want off the front, plus a butt strip. This service is personalized to your preferences, hair type, and skin type.

Just 15-30 minutes, and you're left with weeks of smooth skin.

Brazilian Wax FAQs

What does a Brazilian wax include?

A Brazilian wax includes as much or as little as you want off the front, plus an added butt strip between the cheeks.

What does a bikini wax include?

We offer two bikini services: bikini line and bikini full. A bikini line wax cleans up the edges and the top of your bikini area. A bikini full includes as much or as little as you want off the front.

Is a bikini wax better than shaving?

Depending on your goals, a bikini wax can be better than shaving. Waxing is less disruptive to sensitive skin than constant shaving, and when done by a professional, waxing is less likely to cause ingrown hairs. Waxing also lasts 3-4 weeks rather than just a few days.

What is the difference between a bikini wax and a Brazilian wax?

Both a bikini and a Brazilian wax include removing as much as you want from the front of your bikini area, but a Brazilian wax includes an added butt strip.

How much does a Brazilian wax cost?

At European Wax Center, Brazilian waxing starts at $57. Services and prices may vary by location and are subject to change without notice. See participating center or an EWC associate for additional details.

How long does a Brazilian wax take?

A Brazilian wax takes 15-30 minutes. If it’s your first one, expect it to take closer to 30 minutes. The longer and more consistently you wax, the less time your Brazilian waxes will take.

How long does a Brazilian wax last?

How long a Brazilian wax lasts depends on your individual hair type and growth rate. On average, a Brazilian keeps you smooth for about 2 weeks, with regrowth starting around week 3.

How long should hair be for a Brazilian wax?

Your hair should be at least ¼" long for a Brazilian wax. That’s about the length of a grain of rice, and it gives the wax enough to grab onto for proper hair removal.

How often should you get a Brazilian wax?

Our experts recommend getting a Brazilian wax every 3-4 weeks.

Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

Brazilian waxing can be uncomfortable, but it’s probably not as bad as you think. Pain tolerance is different for everyone, but most guests describe Brazilian waxing as a quick sting when the wax strip is removed. It only lasts a few seconds, and your waxer immediately applies pressure to ease the sensation. Our Comfort Wax® is also designed to cling to hair, never skin, for a more comfortable experience.

Can you get a Brazilian wax on your period?

Yes, we just ask that you wear a tampon. Please note that your skin may feel more sensitive during this time.

Can you get a Brazilian wax while pregnant?

Yes, our waxers are trained to wax you during pregnancy, and it can be especially helpful to have some help with difficult-to-reach areas during this time! That said, every pregnancy is different, so be sure to consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

Is there an age limit for a waxing reservation?

European Wax Center’s policy is to require guests under 16 to have parental consent for bikini or Brazilian waxing services. Each center has its own young guest policy based on state and county guidelines, so check with your local EWC for detailed information. (Oh, and just in case you were wondering…there’s no upper age limit, either. We welcome everyone!)

Do you offer Brazilian waxing for men?

Yes, we offer the Brazilian (P) service for guests with a penis. Learn more about waxing for men.
