EWC Franchisor LLC d/b/a, European Wax Center (“EWC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice”) to describe how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise process the personal information described in this Privacy Notice, as well as the rights and choices individuals have regarding such personal information. As used in this Privacy Notice, “personal information” or “personal data is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household.

We provide additional information and choices for residents of certain U.S. states. If you are a California resident, please review our section on “Additional Information for Residents of California” for additional information about our practices and your California privacy rights under California privacy law. 1. SCOPE

This Privacy Notice applies to personal information we may collect, use, or disclose related to visitors to our websites that link to this Privacy Notice, such as www.waxcenter.com, (the “Site”), our mobile applications that link to this Privacy Notice (the “App”), and offline means, such as in-store locations (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Notice also applies to personal information we collect about certain individuals with whom we have a business relationship.

This Privacy Notice does not apply to the personal information that we collect about you when you interact with us as job applicants, employees, independent contractors, and other workers, but does apply to personal information collected (i) from our students and trainees, (ii) from our franchise partners, and (iii) in the context of business-to-business (B2B) transactions.

We may also provide additional privacy notices that apply to specific services and supplement this Privacy Notice.

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We and our vendors may collect personal information about you based on your interactions with us and our Services. The personal information we collect about you varies depending on the nature of your interactions with us and may not include all of the examples listed below.

We may obtain personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you. For example, when you book a service with us, purchase products from us, sign up for email or text communications, register an account, enter Promotions (as defined below in Section 7), contact customer service, participate in surveys, make a product request or review, inquire about or apply for franchise ownership, or otherwise interact with us.

  • Automatically when you visit our Site or use our App. For example, via cookies and other tracking technologies (see the “Cookies and Other Similar Technologies“ section of this Privacy Notice for more information).

  • From our in-person locations. For example, we may collect information using technology in our stores and premises, such as cameras and CCTV, which we use for operational and security purposes (such as to protect the health and safety of our customers and staff, and to prevent, investigate, and prosecute shoplifting, fraud, and other criminal activities).

  • From other parties. For example, our vendors and partners. We may also obtain your personal information from other consumers such as when they refer you to EWC or send you a gift.

Below are the categories of personal information we collect. Note that the personal information we collect about you may vary depending on the nature of your interactions with us and may not include all of the examples listed below.

  • Identifiers and Personal Records. This includes name, alias, address, telephone number, unique personal identifiers, online identifier, Internet Protocol (IP) address, account login credentials, email address, signature, and other similar identifiers. We may also collect certain information like your driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number, to verify that you are old enough to receive our services or verify that you qualify for certain offers.

  • Characteristics or Traits. This includes physical characteristics or description, gender, age, and date of birth. This may also include certain health-related information to verify that you are eligible for our services.

  • Transaction and Commercial Information. This includes your purchase and transaction histories or tendencies. With respect to individuals who interact with us in a business context, we may have commercial information about our relationship with you.

  • Financial and Payment Information. This includes credit, debit, or other payment card numbers. For franchise applicants and owners, this may include other financial information to verify that you meet the franchise investment requirements or to maintain your financial relationship with us.

  • Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information. This includes browsing history, search history, IP address, device identifiers, and information regarding online interactions, including interactions over time across the internet, the Site and App, and advertisements.

  • Geolocation Data. This includes both approximate location (which may be based on your ZIP Code, IP address, or device information), and precise geolocation data (which is collected from your mobile device to help you find a location near you).

  • Audio, Electronic, Visual, or Similar Information. This includes photos, audio recordings of customer care calls, video interaction recordings, and CCTV footage.

  • User Content. This includes product reviews and other feedback or content you may provide to us.

  • Inferences. We may draw inferences from the other personal information we process to create a profile about you reflecting your preferences and interests.

Our vendors may also collect personal information that you submit to them on our behalf. EWC may combine information about you that we have collected with information we obtain from other parties in accordance with this Privacy Notice. For instance, our Site is powered by Shopify and when you purchase a product on our Site, Shopify may directly process your personal information on our behalf to process your order. 3. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The purposes for which we may process personal information will vary depending on how we interact with you. However, we generally use and otherwise process personal information as set forth below:

  • Providing our Services. For example, to provide and maintain our Services; to provide you with products and services you request; to authenticate users; to perform technical operations, such as updating software; to respond to your requests; to administer events that you participate in; to provide technical support; and for other customer service and support purposes.

  • Communicating with you. For example, to communicate with you about our Services, including to send you notices and alerts, to conduct surveys, and respond to your requests.

  • Safety and quality. For safety and quality purposes, such as to effectuate product recalls.

  • Analyzing and improving our Services and offerings. For example, to better understand how you access and use our Services and interact with us; for research and analytical purposes, such as to evaluate and improve our Services and business operations; to develop new features, products or services; for quality and training purposes; and to otherwise improve our Services and your experiences.

  • Personalizing content and experiences. For example, to tailor content on our Services; to offer location customization and personalized help and instructions; to otherwise personalize your experiences; to reach you with more relevant ads; and to measure and improve our ad campaigns.

  •  Marketing and advertising purposes. For example, to send you our offers or other information we think may interest you; to contact you about our products, services or information we think may interest you; to administer Promotions; and to promote other Services we offer. In support of our general business operations. For example, to perform general business operations, accounting, record keeping and legal functions, including to analyze operational and business results and risks; to collect outstanding amounts owed; to maintain business records; and to process and maintain our franchise relationships.

  • Security and integrity. For example, to protect our business operations, secure our network and information technology, assets and Services; to prevent and detect fraud, unauthorized activities, access and other misconduct; to investigate, prevent or take action regarding suspected violations of our Terms of Use and other agreements with you, as well as fraud, illegal activities and other situations involving potential threats to the rights or safety of any person or other party.

  • Complying with legal requests and obligations. For example, to comply with the law or legal proceedings in response to subpoenas, court orders, warrants or other lawful requests including responding to national security or law enforcement.

  • Otherwise, as directed or authorized by you or to fulfill other notified purposes that we describe to you at the time we collect your information.

4. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Generally, we may use, disclose and process personal information where reasonably necessary to help you book an appointment and otherwise support our franchisees, provide and improve our Services, to provide you with more relevant information and offers including information about other offers you may be interested in, to honor your requests, and to achieve the purposes described in the “Use of Personal Information“ section of this Privacy Notice. In accordance with these purposes, personal information may be disclosed to:

  • Franchisees and Business Partners. We may disclose personal information to franchisees and our business partners to help you book an appointment at one of our locations.

  • Vendors and service providers. We may disclose personal information to our vendors, such as Shopify, service providers, suppliers, contractors or agents who process such data in order to provide services to us or to perform functions on our behalf.

  • Marketing and advertising partners. We may also make certain personal information available to our vendors (such as analytics providers and advertising companies) that support our marketing, analytics, advertising and campaign management (see the “Cookies and Other Similar Technologies“ section below for more information).

  • Other Disclosures of Personal Information. In addition to the purposes described above, we may use and disclose any category of personal information we collect to comply with law, cooperate with and respond to law enforcement requests, or as otherwise required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulations; to maintain appropriate records for internal administrative purposes; to protect our rights and interests and those of our franchisees, to resolve any disputes, to enforce this Privacy Notice or any of our other policies, to protect the rights or property of another, or to prevent harm; to evaluate or conduct a merger, sale, or other acquisition of some or all of our organization or its assets; and otherwise with notice to you or with your consent as required by law.
     
  • App Disclosures. To the extent we grant third parties access to personal information collected via the App, they are expected to follow privacy practices no less protective than our practices to the extent allowed by applicable law.

5. COOKIES AND OTHER SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We and our vendors use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags and other similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to collect information when you interact with our Site and App. These Cookies may collect information about your usage and activities (such as your IP address and device identifier, the browser you are using, length and time of visit and pages visited), geolocation data (to deliver content based on your location and help you find a location near you) and details about how you interact with our Sites (including clicks, cursor movement, scrolls and keystroke activity).

We may use Software Development Kits (“SDKs”) to collect information when you use the App. SDKs are blocks of code that may be installed in a mobile application to understand how visitors interact with the App and collect certain information about the device and network used to access the App, such as the advertising identifier associated with your device.

When you use the App, we may get certain information such as the time and length of your App usage, and other usage data.

This data is used by us and our vendors for various purposes, including to: operate, enable and improve our Site and App; analyze usage and performance; track bugs and errors; verify account credentials and enable logins; track sessions; prevent fraud and protect and secure our Site and App; personalize and improve your experiences; improve and measure our advertising campaigns; and provide you with more relevant content, ads and offers within our Site and App and on third-party websites and services.

Interest-Based Advertising. Many advertising and analytics providers belong to industry groups that let you easily opt out of targeted ads, such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) and/or the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”). Third-Party Tools. We may use third-party tools (such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand and analyze how visitors interact with and experience our Site and App, including the features you engage with, how you navigate, page views, how much time is spent on a page, clicks/touches, mouse movements, scrolls and keystroke activities. We have implemented Google Analytics Advertising Features, such as remarketing with Google Analytics, cross device remarketing and reporting, Google Analytics demographics and interest reporting, and Google Display Network impression reporting.

You may manage certain Cookies by selecting the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link located in the footer of our Site, where you can review and adjust your Cookie preferences. Please note that these settings are specific to each website and browser; therefore, you must configure your preferences individually for each Site you visit. Additionally, if you access our Site from a different device or browser, you will need to set your preferences accordingly.

Additionally, you can manage certain preferences through the following tools:

The Site is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Site. Personal information you submit to the Site will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, to provide and improve the Site for you. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our Site, along with other merchants and with Shopify for Shopify to provide us with certain customization, analytics, and advertising services. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of personal information collected about your interactions with our Site, along with other merchants, and with Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights over use of your personal information for these purposes. Depending on where you live, Shopify may offer you certain rights with respect to your personal information, here.

Browser Opt Outs. Web browsers have varying default settings for accepting Cookies. You can access your browser settings to learn more about Cookie management, including deleting and rejecting Cookies. Choosing to delete or reject Cookies may impact certain features or services available on our Site and App. Additionally, removing Cookies may result in the loss of settings and preferences, including advertising preferences, which may need to be reestablished.

Do Not Track. Certain web browsers have “Do Not Track” features, which allow users to send signals to websites indicating their preference not to be tracked. Our Sites do not support Do Not Track at this time. Other tools are available for managing data collection and usage, such as the Cookie controls and advertising controls mentioned above. We are not responsible for the effectiveness of, or compliance with, external-parties’ opt-out options or programs or the accuracy of their statements regarding their programs.

Interactive Features. We may engage vendors to provide certain interactive features on our Site. Your use of these interactive features is voluntary, and we may retain the personal information that you submit through these features. For example, in the event you use the chat functionality on our Site, you may either chat with a live agent or a chatbot that utilizes artificial intelligence. If you are interacting with a chatbot, the chatbot will collect any personal information that you submit to it and will process that personal information to tailor its responses to you. We retain references to your chats.

6. OTHER SITES

Our Services may contain links to websites, services, and resources that we do not own or operate (“Other Sites”). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or policies of Other Sites. Please make sure to review any privacy disclosures of Other Sites carefully.

7. SWEEPSTAKES, CONTESTS AND PROMOTIONS

We may offer sweepstakes, contests, special events, incentives and other promotional events and activities (“Promotions”), including Promotions that are jointly sponsored or offered by other parties. If you choose to participate in a Promotion, we may collect personal information as part of the Promotion. If there is a conflict between the Promotion terms and this Privacy Notice, the Promotion terms will govern with regard to the personal information collected related to the Promotion.

9. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

We offer you certain choices relating to your personal information:

  • Account Information. If you create an account with us, you may access and update certain information we have relating to your account within your account profile, and all other information can be updated by contacting us at guestservices@waxcenter.com.

  • Email and Text Message Communications. You may opt out of certain communications from us:
    • You may opt out of marketing emails or manage your subscription preferences for emails from us at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism within any marketing email we send to you. You may also update your email marketing communications preferences within your account profile. Please note that even if you opt out, we may still send you non-commercial emails, such as appointment confirmation and cancellations, receipts, and responses to direct requests.

    • If you opted in to receive text messages from us, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any of our texts. You may also update your text message marketing communications preferences within your account profile.

    • We do not share SMS opt-in information and consent with any third parties for those third parties' own marketing purposes.

  • Deleting Your Account. If you wish to delete your guest account and the data associated with your guest account, please login to your guest account on the App, navigate to the “Account” icon, scroll down, select the “Delete Account” option, and then click the appropriate button to confirm your selection. Alternatively, you may request to delete your guest account and the data associated with your guest account by emailing us at guestservices@waxcenter.com.

  • Mobile App Device Settings and Permissions. You can use your mobile device settings to limit mobile tracking technologies and our collection of certain information.
    • Please note that some App features may not function properly if certain permissions are disabled or settings are changed.

    • You can stop all collection of data generated by use of the App by uninstalling the App. Also, you may be able to exercise specific privacy choices, such as enabling or disabling certain features (e.g., location-based services, push notifications), by adjusting the permissions in your mobile device and/or the App’s settings. Beware that if GPS precise location services are disabled, other means of establishing or estimating location (e.g., connecting to or proximity to Wi-Fi) may persist.

    • You may be able to enable or disable location tracking on the App by adjusting the permissions in your App account settings or through your mobile device settings. Note that uninstalling the App or changing the App permissions will not delete your user account or any information we previously collected via the App.

10. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS OF CALIFORNIA

The California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (“CCPA”) requires us to make additional disclosures. If you are a California resident, please read this section for additional disclosures and information on rights you may have under California law. In the event of a conflict between this California section and any other section of this Privacy Notice, this section shall take precedence for California residents. Terms used in this section and not defined have the meaning given in the CCPACCPA.

Some of the personal information we collect is considered “sensitive” under the CCPA, such as driver’s license number, state identification card, or passport number. We collect this personal information either with your consent for the limited purpose of providing Services you request or as reasonably expected to accomplish the purpose for which it is collected.

We may also use, disclose, and otherwise process the categories of personal information listed in the chart above to protect and defend our assets and rights, prevent misconduct, operate our business, and comply with legal requirements and obligations.

As further described in the “Disclosure of Personal Information” section, we disclose personal information to other parties for the purposes described in the chart above. In accordance with these purposes, personal information may be disclosed to:

  • Franchisees and Business Partners
  • Service Providers
  • Marketing, advertising, and analytics providers
  • Other companies that we work with to offer our Services

We will also disclose personal information when you direct us to do so, or where otherwise necessary to respond to or fulfill your requests or orders.

Sale or Sharing of Personal Information. While we do not disclose personal information to Third Parties in exchange for monetary consideration, we do disclose or make available personal information to Third Parties to receive certain services or benefits from them, such as when we allow Cookies to collect information such as your browsing history or when using our Services, in order to improve and measure our ad campaigns. California law considers these activities to be the “Sale” or “Sharing” of personal information for cross-contextual behavioral advertising. The categories of personal information that we may “Sell” or “Share” as defined under California law include:

  • Identifiers and Personal Records
  • Commercial Information
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information
  • Geolocation data
  • Inferences drawn from any of the above

We Sell or Share the categories of personal information disclosed above to third-party advertising and analytics providers.

We do not have any actual knowledge that we have Sold or Shared personal information of any consumer under the age of 18.

Sensitive Personal Information. We do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose other than as reasonably expected to accomplish the purpose for which it is collected. 

Global Privacy Controls. Some browsers (like Mozilla Firefox, Duck Duck Go, and Brave) and browser extensions (such as Privacy Badger by EFF) support the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) that can send a signal to websites you visit indicating your choice to opt out from the Sale or Sharing of your data for targeted advertising. We have implemented tools such that when we detect a GPC signal, we will treat the signal as an opt-out request. Find more information about GPC signals here

Individual Rights Under California Law. If you are a resident of California, you have the following rights:

  • Do Not Sell or Share. The right to opt out of the “Sale” or “Sharing” of your personal information (as those terms are defined in the CCPA).

  • Verifiable Requests to Delete, Requests to Know, and Requests for Correction. Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to make the following requests at no charge:

    • Request to Delete. The right to request deletion of their personal information we have collected and to have such personal information deleted, except where certain exemptions apply.

    • Request to Know. The right to request and, subject to certain exemptions, receive a copy of the specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about them. California consumers can also request the:
      • Categories of personal information we have collected;
      • Categories of sources from which we collect personal information;
      • Business and/or commercial purposes for collecting, Selling, or Sharing their personal information;
      • Categories of third parties with whom we have disclosed their personal information;
      • Categories of personal information we Sold or Shared about you and the categories of Third Parties to whom each category of personal information was Sold or Shared;
      • Categories of personal information that we have disclosed for a Business Purpose and the categories of Service Providers or contractors to which each category was disclosed or shared.

    • Request to Correct. The right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information. We may require documentation to support your request. Upon receiving a verifiable request to correct inaccurate personal information, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to update the personal information.

We will not discriminate against you if you elect to exercise any of these rights.

How to Exercise Your California Consumer Rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information Requests. To exercise your right to opt out of the Sale or Sharing of your personal information for cross-contextual behavioral advertising via Cookies, please click on the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of our Site or use a GPC signal. To opt out of non-Cookie-based Sales or Sharing of your personal information, please email us at guestservices@waxcenter.com or call us at (469) 722-6918.

Submitting a Verifiable Request. You may submit your request to exercise access, deletion, correction, and appeal rights by emailing us at guestservices@waxcenter.com or calling us at (469) 722-6918. 

Who May Exercise Your Rights. You may make a request to exercise your rights on behalf of yourself or on behalf of a minor if you are the parent or legal guardian of the minor. In addition, you may authorize an agent to exercise your rights on your behalf, if you provide the agent with signed written authorization.

Verification of Your Request. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to confirm receipt of your request, unless your request is a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request. We will require sufficient information from you to verify your identity and the authenticity of your request. If you do not provide us with sufficient information, we may request additional information to verify your identity, the identity of the data subject of the request, and the authenticity of the request. Certain types of requests may require additional verification. We will only use personal information we collect during the verification process for the purpose of verifying your identity.

If an authorized agent contacts us to exercise a consumer right, we may need to verify their identity as well as your identity. We will also require proof of your written authorization to the agent to act on your behalf, unless the agent holds a lawful Power of Attorney under applicable laws, in which case we will require evidence of such Power of Attorney. 

We may deny your request as permitted or as required by law. If you are unsatisfied with our decision not to take action on your request to exercise one of your privacy rights, you may appeal our decision.

Shine the Light. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits California residents to opt out of the disclosure of their personal information to Third Parties for those Third Parties' direct marketing purposes. We do not engage in the types of practices covered by Shine the Light. If you have any questions about our practices, please contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.

This section supplements this Privacy Notice and applies to residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia (the “Covered States”). California residents should review our section titled “Additional Information for Residents of California.”

This section describes our collection, use and disclosure of “personal data,” (as defined under applicable law, to the extent the law applies to you). References to personal information in the rest of this Privacy Notice also describe our practices regarding personal data in this section.

This section will take precedence over Covered States’ residents rights under applicable law in the event of a conflict between this section and any other EWC policy, statement or notice.

Personal Data Collection, Use, and Disclosure. For more information on how we collect personal data, please see the “Personal Information We Collect” section above. Sales and Targeted Advertising. Though we do not sell personal data for monetary consideration, we may “sell” the following categories of personal data to third parties or use them for targeted advertising:

  • Identifiers and Personal Records
  • Commercial Information
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information
  • Geolocation data
  • Inferences drawn from any of the above

We sell this personal data to third-party advertisers and some analytics vendors via cookies and tracking technologies on our Site and App. The purposes for which we sell this information include: showing you relevant ads while you browse the internet or use social media, marketing, certain types of analytics, or similar purposes.

We offer you the ability to opt out of Sales and Targeted Advertising as set forth below.

Privacy Rights for Residents of Covered States. Residents of Covered States may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, subject to certain limitations and exceptions. These rights may include:

  • Right to Confirm, Know, or Access. You may confirm whether we are processing your personal data, access your personal data, and obtain a copy of the personal data you provided to us in a portable format.
    • Connecticut, Minnesota, Oregon, and Rhode Island Residents – Third-Party Disclosures: if you live in Connecticut, Minnesota or Oregon, you also have the right to request a list of Third Parties to which we disclosed personal data.
    • Maryland Residents – Categories of Third Parties: if you live in Maryland, you have the right to request a list of the categories of Third Parties to which we disclose personal data.
    • Delaware Residents – Categories of Third Parties: if you live in Delaware, you have the right to request a list of the categories of Third Parties to which we disclose your personal data.

  • Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccuracies in your personal data, taking into account the nature of the personal data and our purposes for processing it.

  • Right to Delete. You may request that we delete your personal data. Please note that we may retain certain personal data as permitted by applicable law.

  • Opt-Out Rights. You have the right to opt out of Selling and Targeted Advertising using your personal data. You may opt out of Sales or Targeted Advertising via Cookies through an opt-out preference signal (such as the Global Privacy Control) or through our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of our Sites. Note that if you come back to our Sites from a different device or use a different browser on the same device, you will need to opt out for that browser and device as well.   • Right to Appeal. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal our decision.

Please note that for requests other than requests to opt out, we will need to authenticate your identity before your request can be processed. For authentication, you will be asked to verify your identity in accordance with the law.

Please note that if you make a privacy rights request, we will retain the personal data submitted in connection with your request for recordkeeping purposes.

12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected or have received personal information from a child where any applicable laws require parental consent, we will delete that information.

13. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable and appropriate safeguards to help protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alternation and destruction. However, the security of information transmitted through the internet can never be guaranteed regardless of the level of security.

14. DATA RETENTION

Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will keep your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. This generally means holding each category of personal information for as long as one of the following criteria apply:

  • Your personal information is reasonably necessary to manage our operations, to manage your relationship with us, or to satisfy another purpose for which we collected the information.

  • Your personal information is reasonably necessary to carry out a disclosed purpose that is reasonably compatible with the context in which the personal information was collected.

  • The personal information is reasonably required to protect or defend our rights or property (which will generally relate to applicable laws that limit actions in a particular case).

  • We are otherwise required or permitted to keep your personal information by applicable laws or regulations.

Where personal information is used for more than one purpose, we may retain it until the purpose with the latest period expires.

We retain personal information we collect while you use the App for no longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes for which the personal information was collected, or as may otherwise be permitted or required under applicable law.

15. INFORMATION FOR USERS OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES

If you are visiting the Site or App from outside of the United States, or otherwise using our Services, please be aware that personal information we and our vendors obtain about you will be processed in the United States. By using our Services, you acknowledge your personal information may be transferred to, and processed in, jurisdictions outside your own, as described in this Privacy Notice. Please be aware that the data protection laws and regulations that apply to your personal information transferred to the United States or other countries may be different from the laws in your country of residence.

We will use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information in accordance with the Privacy Notice in effect at the time such personal information is processed. We will post any changes to this Privacy Notice on this page and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we will provide you with notice or obtain consent regarding such changes, as may be required by law. We encourage you to check back frequently so that you are always aware of our data practices.
