FACIAL WAXING VERSUS...

THREADING

Threading uses a cotton thread to remove short rows of hair from your face. Since each hair is removed individually, it can be a more painful and uncomfortable experience than face waxing. It can also be difficult on sensitive skin, particularly if you are an acne sufferer.

Our trained Wax Specialists use our exclusive Comfort Wax® which can be used on even the most sensitive skin types.

TWEEZING

Like threading, tweezing is a slower and more painful experience than waxing. Results don't last as long and it's easy to miss or break smaller hairs—pinching yourself in the process.

And while some people opt to use an epilator to tweeze hair from the roots more quickly, though this method is well-known for being painful.

For touch-ups, manual tweezers are the best way to take care of any stray hairs and can be used in between facial waxing services to keep your face silky and smooth.

DEPILATORY CREAMS

Depilatory creams use chemicals to weaken the hair follicles, allowing you to wipe the hair away from your skin.

These creams can be used at home but the harsh chemicals can irritate sensitive skin and many of them smell awful! Facial skin is especially delicate, so depilatories may not be a good option.

With our Exclusive Comfort Wax® and trained Wax Specialists, we can wax even the most sensitive skin types

SHAVING

Recently, face shaving for women has picked up some traction in the beauty world as a cheap option for hair removal.

But facial razors won't provide long-lasting results, as smoothness only lasts 1-3 days as opposed to 2-3 weeks with facial waxing. It can also cause you to have embarrassing and prickly stubble in between shaves.

SUGARING

While sugaring and waxing both remove hair at the root, the main difference is the technique.

The sugaring paste is applied against the grain of the hair, and removed by pulling in the same direction of the hair—the exact opposite of waxing.

But because sugaring pulls the hair in the direction it grows, it's more likely stray hairs can be left behind in the process. It can also be harder to cleanly extract coarser hair, which could lead to breakage and ingrown hairs.

BLEACHING

Bleaching your unwanted facial hair doesn't remove the hairs—it just makes them lighter so they aren’t as noticeable. This option may work if you don’t have much hair and don’t mind if it's still visible up close.

However, bleaching products can irritate sensitive skin. With our Exclusive Comfort Wax® and trained Wax Specialists, our wax can be used on even the most sensitive skin types.

NATURAL RECIPES

There are a number of home remedies that claim to get rid of facial hair naturally, but many of these methods are simply old wives’ tales and may not be as effective at removing hair.

Natural recipes may also have negative or harmful effects due to a lack of product testing.
